Operator: Russia ready for tests of SWIFT analogue on blockchain

MOSCOW, Jul 11 (PRIME) -- Russia has prepared and is ready to test its pilot version of a national SWIFT analogue on blockchain, Platforms NTI said in a statement on Monday.

“A pilot version of a decentralized system of exchange of inter-banking financial messages is prepared for testing and can be used in banks,” the statement read.

The loading tests demonstrated that the system shows a high outcome, and the project speed exceeds 25,000 messages per second at a node.

The system does not use a classic blockchain, but a three-level architecture, which makes it capable of expanding and connecting more users.
